Need to renew your Tax Credits? Deadline 31 July
If you claim tax credits, you will have recently received a renewal pack.
You need to renew if...
...your pack has a red line across the first page and says 'reply now'. Tax credits must be renewed before 31 July 2016.
You don't need to renew if...
...your pack says 'check now'. In this case you are required to check your details to make sure they are correct. If there are no changes you don't need to do anything else. Your tax credits will be automatically renewed.
However, if you need to update your details, you must do this by 31 July 2016. Failing to do so could mean you receive a fine or your tax credits could stop altogether.
If you only started receiving tax credits for the first time after 6 April 2016 you won't receive a renewal pack until April 2017.
