Mid Ulster Rural Business Investment Scheme - Mandatory Pre Application Workshops
Mid Ulster Rural Development Partnership is responsible for delivering LEADER funding throughout Mid Ulster District Council under the 2014 – 2020 NI Rural Development Programme.
Are you a rural business owner? Is your business investment ready? If so then you could be eligible to apply for funding to the Rural Business Investment Scheme.
The Partnership will seek applications under the Rural Business Investment Scheme from business operating within three themes on a phased basis during 2016/17 in the following order:
- Rural Growth – new or existing business operating in the manufacturing and engineering sectors;
- Rural Innovation – new or existing businesses involved in IT, creative industries, rural tourism and rural service enterprises; and
- Rural Youth - with a focus on new or existing businesses owners aged 18-30
All businesses applying must attend a mandatory pre application funding workshop to be eligible to make an application. Mid Ulster RDP logo
For this initial phase, the Partnership is seeking applications from the Rural Growth priority targeting the manufacturing and engineering sectors - businesses from this sector interested in making an application must therefore attend one of the mandatory workshops listed below.

Monday 14 March | Rowan Tree Centre, Pomeroy | 6.30pm |
Businesses falling under the Rural Innovation and Rural Youth themes are still welcome to attend one of these workshops to register in preparation for future calls however further workshops will be organised specific to these themes at a later date.
PLEASE NOTE: The individual(s) attending the workshop must be either the business owner or a director.
Within the above themes, new or existing rurally based micro / small businesses and social economy enterprises involved in non-agricultural / non agri-food related activities may be eligible to apply. Job creation and export potential are key objectives of the Rural Business Investment Scheme.
