Michael was appointed as Partner in CavanaghKelly in April 2018.
A Law and Accounting graduate from Queen’s University Belfast. Michael also holds a Diploma in Advanced Accounting at the University of Ulster.
Michael joined CavanaghKelly as a trainee, rising through the ranks with roles in various departments across the practice including Audit & Accounts, Business Recovery & Insolvency and Corporate Finance.
Michael is an Associate Member of Chartered Accountants Ireland and holds a Diploma in Corporate Finance (with Distinction). In 2017 Michael passed his JIEB Insolvency Practitioner Exams and is now a Licensed Insolvency Practitioner.
He now acts as dedicated Partner for the firm’s Advisory offering. Responsible for delivering a wide range of advisory projects on a day-to-day basis with both external and internal clients. Michael has significant experience and expertise in mergers and acquisitions, due diligence, business valuations, financing proposals, business planning as well as general business development and support.
As well as becoming a Partner and Head of Business Advisory, Michael will head up the firms Business Recovery & Insolvency offering.
Michael is a respected and trusted advisor who uses a combination of knowledge, experience and commercial thinking to challenge his clients to be the best they can be.
