The ideal candidate will lead and manage a team while overseeing a wide range of accounting functions and client accounts. They will develop client relationships, take a leading role in staff learning and development, and possess technical expertise in accounting principles.
Main Duties and Responsibilities
Team Leadership: Manage and mentor a team, providing guidance and support to ensure high-quality work within an appropriate timeframe.
Client Work Oversight: Oversee the preparation and review of client work.
Deadline Management: Coordinate and actively manage month/period-end deadlines.
Client Relationships: Build strong client relationships, understand the goals of the business, and provide strategic advice and solutions.
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate with teams across the wider practice to ensure comprehensive client service.
THE CRITERIA:
Qualifications; Qualified Chartered Accountant (CAI / ACCA)
Experience; Minimum of 3 years of experience in accountancy practice.
Sector Experience; Experience working with clients across a range of different sectors
Skills; Excellent time management and communication skills
Technical proficiency; Good knowledge of Accounting Software packages and MS office packages with a strong proficiency in Excel.
