Higher Level Apprentice (Accounting)

WHAT IS A HIGHER LEVEL APPRENCTICESHIP

A Higher Level Apprenticeship (HLA) offers students the opportunity to gain quality training and a recognised higher level qualification while in paid employment.  Students will attend work 4 days per week and College / University one day per week.

There are two routes available:

HLA Accounting Technician (in conjunction with NI FE Colleges)

The Accounting Technicians Level 5 Diploma is designed to equip students with the knowledge and skills necessary to pursue a career in accounting and finance. This course focuses on providing students with a solid foundation in accounting principles, financial analysis, and business management techniques.

BSC Accounting and Finance HLA (in conjunction with Ulster University)

This course is accredited by the major accounting bodies including Chartered Accountants Ireland (CAI). Upon graduation, you have the opportunity to gain the maximum amount of exemptions available for an undergraduate degree from CAI.

THE ROLE:

  • Liaising with a wide range of clients to provide first class accounts services
  • Preparation of accounts for sole traders, partnerships and small companies
  • Using accounting systems and developing commercial awareness to provide an excellent service for our clients

THE CRITERIA:

  • Applicants must meet the college / University Standard Entry Conditions.
  • Highly motivated with enthusiasm to grow and develop
  • Ability to work independently, prioritise and work within set deadlines
  • Proficient in the use of MS Office

Upon completion of a Higher Level Apprenticeship, you could continue your studies towards Chartered Status with Chartered Accountants Ireland (CAI).
