Sean Cavanagh is a founding partner in CavanaghKelly, having established his own practice in Dungannon 25 years ago. In 2003 he merged his practice with Des Kelly and the continued partnership has grown to be one of the premier advisoru firms in Northern Ireland.

Sean is a licensed Insolvency Practitioner and is Chairman of the Insolvency Technical Committee North of Chartered Accountants Ireland. This committee reviews all insolvency legislation and regulatory matters in the UK and, where appropriate, makes recommendations to government on its implementation.

In his insolvency work, he has led many successful corporate rescues and was one of the first pioneers of the successful operation of the Individual Involuntary Arrangement regime as a means of avoiding bankruptcy. This has enabled many people to recover their dignity and give them confidence to start afresh.

In addition to this specialist work, Sean also maintains a professional interest in the education sector and is Chairman of the Project Management Board responsible for the construction of the new £21m school at St. Patrick’s Academy Dungannon.

A totally committed Francophile from his 2 years living in Rural France, his interests include a deep appreciation of French literature, food and wine. He often assists clients with business interests there.
